Is Linked In Working For You?

A Linked In profile can be a great way to demonstrate your skills and experience to potential employers and can compliment any CV and covering letters that you’re sending out.

In fact, this article from The Guardian discusses whether or not the Linked In profile will replace the CV. It also gives some great information on how to make sure your profile is fit for purpose.

Do remember that when you add your profile to Linked In it’s visible to anyone who cares to have a look so it’s worth bringing it in to the PCC for a check before you show it to the world. Bad grammar and misspellings will have the opposite effect to the one you’re aiming for so make sure you’re showing your best side.

As ever, email me for an appointment, or come to a Quick Query session when I’m next on duty; I’d be happy to help you with this: sarah.rourke@brunel.ac.uk
